5 miles. The walk starts in Chaddesley Woods, Woodcote Green Lane B61 9EF and can be found off the A448 Bromsgrove to Chaddesley Corbett road, Woodcote Lane (signposted Dordale and Belbroughton). There are a number of spaces for parking on either side of the road. Alternatively, start your walk in Chaddesley Corbett village (G) DY10 4SD. The terrain is good, through woodland and fields. Can be muddy. Short distances on minor roads. All footpaths followed are clearly marked or signposted. The route is recommended in early May when bluebells are abundant.
The walk starts at (A), where the well-signed footpath crosses the road. Take the west route as it rises with pleasant fields to your left and woods to the right. Eventually, the path enters the woods and splits in two (B). Our route will take us to the right. Continuing through the woods and crossing a track, the path leaves the wood (C) and enters open fields. At (D) the path splits in four under electric pylons. Follow the left path. After passing through a number of gates, the route traverses a ploughed field, eventually meeting a path we will return along (E). Heading toward the spire of the church, the path joins the main road opposite the Swan Inn (F). The Swan is a Bathams pub and was built at the turn of the 17th Century. Across the road (G) is the former Talbot pub, a picture-book black and white timbered building. The Fox (H) is a more recent pub.
Our route takes us along the path (I), round the back of the Talbot and back to (E) where we go straight on, under the power lines, until we enter the woods (J). The path through the woods leads uphill and comes to an intersection of paths (K). Follow the path left and then right (L). This path leads downhill and out of the woods (M). The path follows a straight line, over a stile, to the left of a hedgerow, up an incline, past a pond, down again and across a stile. A path meets from the right (N) but take the left path over another stile. The path now cuts across a sloping field and meets the road (O).
Follow the road a short distance to the right, until another path is met on the opposite side (P). Take this track following it round to the left, keeping the wood to the right. At the gate (Q) by the farm buildings turn to the left and follow the gentle slope up through the woods. This path eventually meets the lane (R) where you will turn left. Follow the lane until the path branches to the right (S). This path takes you to the side of a dwelling and into the woods. The path runs adjacent to the wood and there are superb views to the south and the Malvern Hills. The path narrows as it descends until it meets the road where you started.
